Goal is to prepare incoming international graduate students for full-time study. Academic orientation and instruction in academic writing, listening, discussion, oral presentation, and spoken usage.

Notes

  • EFSLANG 688 students will have 20 class hours each week. For more information, see the course page with the English for Foreign Students Program.
  • Students in EFS 688 may take up to four elective courses. These are offered as sections of EFS 689, Special Topics in English. Each requires one additional unit of tuition (note two units for 689P Pronunciation).
  • Course may be repeated once.
  • Special application required.
