Modeled by the popular game show “Shark Tank,” the top teams selected from the workshop will pitch to successful Silicon Valley entrepreneurs as all of the other teams and other Stanford students, faculty, and staff watch in the live audience. This high-pressure experience will be a team’s chance to take the stage and spotlight.

Weekend getaways to new places are exciting, but often valuable time is wasted wandering around the city. The “Long Weekend” app coordinates a customized plan for your stay. The interactive app uses travelers’ preferences and location creating the most efficient route between sights.
“Making everyone a headhunter” PeerStalker is an online platform that aims to connect motivated and talented business professionals who are looking to change jobs to small, medium or large sized companies that spend enormous amounts of time and money to successfully fill vacant positions in their organizations. These days, headhunters fill this role by charging a whopping 25-33% of their clients’ annual paychecks. We believe that by introducing a system of referrals from within existing networks of professionals, incentivized by far lower “finders’ fees”, all parties involved stand to benefit.
Pickup is the app that will finally answer the age old dispute of who the best players of pickup games and activities in a community are with an optimized matchmaking service and real-time ranking updates.

About the Judges
Considered the “Godfather of Silicon Valley,” Steve Blank spent 21 years building eight high-technology companies, which produced four IPOs. His companies include: E.piphany, Zilog, MIPS Computers, Convergent Technologies, Ardent, SuperMac, ESL, and Rocket Science Games. Blank then moved from being an entrepreneur to teaching entrepreneurship to both undergraduate and graduate students at UC Berkeley, Stanford University, Columbia University, NYU, and UCSF. The “Customer Development” model that he developed is one of the core themes of the Lean Startup movement. In 2011, at the request of the National Science Foundation, he modified the Lean Launchpad class and it became the curriculum for the NSF I-Corps. His online Lean LaunchPad class has taught over 250,000 students.
A self-described sales nerd, pitch coach, activist for the future, and empathy warrior, Barrica is also a venture partner and entrepreneur-in-residence with 500 Startups. Her entrepreneurial experience includes founding inDinero, a one-stop shop for business financial tracking. She is a founding micro-angel for Kiva.org and an advisor to Hardshell Labs.
Jackie Space is a principal at BMNT Partners. She develops strategy for connecting private sector capabilities and government requirements. Prior to joining BMNT Partners, Space led rapid acquisition planning and execution program management efforts in support of the Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF) and the Navy Remote Sensing Center. She has 15 years of government and private company acquisitions experience. As an Air Force officer, she developed the technical and strategic plans in support of national space and missile defense. In the private sector, she worked with private equity groups during their fundraising phase where she focused on market research and sourcing middle market companies for investment, in the process building a portfolio of companies worth over $100M and structured for sale to private equity groups and investors.
