Registration

After submitting the appropriate application materials, each student accepted into the Summer College program will be sent an acceptance letter and other admission materials including complete registration and enrollment instructions.

Registration is the process of enrolling in classes and paying the applicable tuition and fees. High School Summer College participants are eligible to enroll in classes once they have been formally admitted and have completed the necessary procedures.

Student Enrollment
Students who are eligible to enroll in classes do so by using Stanford's student information system, which is called Axess. Beginning April 14, 2008, Axess allows you to search the Time Schedule of Classes, enroll in classes, and update your address. Once enrolled in classes, students receive a bill for Stanford University tuition and fees. Billing and payment services are delivered electronically through Stanford’s online billing and payment service, Stanford ePay. Monthly bills are generated on the 20th of each month and become due on the 15th of the following month. Students will receive information about Axess upon admission.

Course Load
Participants in the residential program must enroll in a minimum of eight units. Commuter students must enroll in a minimum of three units. Although High School Summer College students may enroll in a maximum of 12 units, we recommend that residential students enroll in eight units to allow time to balance academics with the social and educational activities planned through their residence. High School Summer College students are not eligible to audit courses.
