Stanford High School Summer College (HSSC) is about halfway through, so I thought I would check in with this brief blog post!
So far, I’m really enjoying HSSC. I’ve met so many people and learned so many things in just four weeks- I’m really looking forward to what I’ll experience in the latter half of this program! Out of the many perks of this program, one that I enjoy the most is the field trips. Every weekend, students are offered a chance to go on a field trip to a local attraction/tourist site. This is a great benefit because most of the students, including myself, are not from the area. Thus, this is a great opportunity to take a break from studying and explore the Bay Area!
A few weekends ago, I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a field trip. It was a beautiful place and probably one of the best aquariums I have ever visited. It was quite large and took about two hours to explore. It was really neat to see all of the sea creatures that I marveled over when I was a kid. Below are some photos I took of the bay and some marine life as well.
