Use the Summer to its full advantage! Stanford undergraduate and graduate students can enroll in courses offered during the Summer Quarter to:
Enrolling for the Summer Quarter is easy – students should register for courses on Axess beginning Sunday, April 14, 2013. There is no special application required.

For recent Stanford graduates: Students who have received a degree can no longer automatically register for courses on Axess. Recent graduates who would like to continue their education during Summer Quarter should refer to our Undergraduate & Graduate Students from Other Universities program for application and registration information.

| Monday, June 24 | First day of classes. |
| Monday, June 24 – Saturday, August 17 | Session for eight-week courses. |
| Friday, August 16 and/or Saturday, August 17 | End-Quarter examinations for eight-week courses. See the Summer Quarter Exam Schedule. |
| Monday, June 24 – Friday, August 23 | Session for nine-week courses (Organic Chemistry and Physics Sequences). |
| Last Day of Class | End-Quarter examinations for nine-week courses (on last day of class). |

Stanford Summer Session also offers Stanford Summer Intensive Studies, allowing students to engage in the study of a specific topic or explore an area outside their major during the Summer Quarter. Participation in a Summer Intensive will enhance a student’s portfolio prior to application to graduate school or entry to the job market.
Students who successfully complete a Stanford Summer Intensive will earn a Certificate of Completion from the Summer Session Office.
The Summer Session Office hires Stanford students for a variety of Summer positions. Students should refer to the Summer Employment Opportunities website for more details.
