The Stanford Summer International Honors Program (SSIHP) is a collaboration between Stanford University and international teaching and research institutions. Under SSIHP auspices, select students from participating universities are welcome to attend Stanford’s eight-week Summer Session, where they engage in a challenging course of study augmented by extracurricular activities designed expressly for our SSIHP students.

Students build their own course schedules in adherence to guidelines determined by their home institutions. More than 175 courses are offered in 35 departments each summer from the schools of Humanities and SciencesEarth Sciences, and Engineering. Courses offered feature accessible instructors, small class size, and a diverse student body.

"What I missed most was the learning atmosphere there. Everyone worked hard, but at the same time, loved learning. With my classmates, we always engaged in academic debates. I did extra reading and research not because my professor wanted me to, but simply because I wanted to know more."
