Experimental Methods in Fluid Mechanics

Course Description

Experimental methods associated with the interfacing of laboratory instruments, experimental control, sampling strategies, data analysis, and introductory image processing. Instrumentation including point-wise anemometers and particle image tracking systems. Lab.

  • Grading Basis: Letter Grade
  • Unit-Range Information: Course includes both lectures and lab, up to 5 units of work. The range allows students to accommodate visa and fellowship requirements on their total units.

Previous experience with computer programming; E 14, E 30, ME 70, or equivalents; consent of instructor
