Current Stanford University undergraduate and graduate students can take courses during the Summer Quarter, Stanford's fourth academic quarter. Students choose from more than 175 classes offered in 35 departments, including six areas of intensive study. Registration is convenient via Axess, the online student registration system, and tuition is paid on a per unit basis.

The Stanford Summer International Honors Program is a collaboration between Stanford University and international teaching and research institutions. Students are selected by their home university to attend this eight-week program on the Stanford campus.
Summer College is a selective program for 16 and 17 year old high school students who are in their sophomore, junior, or senior year in high school at the time of application. Program participants take undergraduate courses and earn university credit. Students come from across the United States and around the world and may attend as residential or commuting students.
