STANFORD SUMMER SESSION

Summer Session offers the only opportunity to be a visiting Stanford student.

Dates

Our 8-week program runs June 21–August 17, 2025. It's Stanford's summer quarter.

Cost

Tuition starts at $5,197 for students who commute. For students who take a full-time course load and live on campus with a meal plan, costs start at $18,443.

Workload

Students who commute must take a minimum of 3 units. Students who live on campus must take a minimum of 8.

Application requirements

As part of the application, you will be asked to supply: transcripts and proof of English proficiency (if necessary).

Eligibility

To be eligible to attend Summer Session at Stanford as a graduate student, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age by the start of the program.
  • Have graduated for have completed your requirements from your university or post-secondary institution.
